The adventures of Lance & Amy aboard
their 38 foot sailboat
1984 TA SHING PANDA 38
S/V Lorien is a Taiwanese built, Gary Grant designed (with some credit due to Robert Perry) cutter rigged masthead sloop constructed by the renowned Ta Shing boat yard in Taiwan. Although she's as old as we are, her expert craftsmanship and sturdy thoughtful design have stood the test of time. Her bones are solid, and mostly original over the years, her various systems have been replaced and/or upgraded. She is a true passage-making machine with many comforts of home built in.
Lorien is no stranger to the open ocean, in fact she has more experience in open waters than Amy and I combined. Lorien has already been across the Pacific Ocean (and back) under the care of previous owners.
We have been busy making Lorien even better over the last few years, adding our own touch to what was already a fine vessel when we bought her.
